Bonded Dressings are normally Superabsorbent Wound Dressings for wounds with moderate to very high levels of exudate.
The very high absorption and retention capacity of these products protects wound edges from maceration.
Bonded Dressings promote wound healing by maintaining a moist wound environment while decreasing the development of odour during the treatment. They can be adhesive Border or non-adhesive Non-Border products.
As key benefits are considered the ergonomic shape, the high absorbency, and the retention capacity in combination with atraumatic dressing change.

Superabsorbent Wound Dressings are specialized, highly absorbent medical dressings designed to manage moderate to heavily exuding wounds. They feature an advanced polymer core that absorbs large volumes of fluid protecting the surrounding skin from moisture damage while maintaining an ideal healing environment. Generally the use a multi-layer design consisting of a wound contact layer, a soft layer that allows fluids to pass through to the core without sticking to the wound bed, the superabosorbent core, containing specialized polymers that absorb fluid and convert it into a gel, and a fluid-repellent backing as physical barrier to prevent fluid strike-through, keeping clothing and bedding clean while allowing moisture vapor to escape.
