Strips & Bandages
An Adhesive Bandage or Plaster is a small medical dressing used for injuries not serious enough to require a full-size bandage, protecting the wound and scab from bacteria, damage, or dirt, so that the healing process of the body is less disturbed.
An Adhesive Bandage generally is consisting of a small, flexible sheet of woven fabric, PU or latex strip and an absorbent wound pad which could be perforated and which is placed against the wound and the overlapping edges of the sticky material are smoothed down so they stick to the surrounding skin. The adhesive used in bandages is commonly an acrylic polymer.
Adhesive bandages coming in a variety of sizes and shapes do have a release liner of coated paper or PE which is removed for application and are generally packaged in sealed, sterile pouch.
RCA Bignami offers reliable technologies for the precise cutting and accurate positioning of carrier films, substrates, PU films, adhesive layers, and release liners, as well as for laminaton, punching, or sealing.
