RCA Bignami is partnering with different suppliers and can offer different types of Coating equipment based on different technologies and coating systems, such as in-line coating, spraying, or impregnation, for medical and pharmaceutical applications, from lab equipment to production lines.
High Accuracy
High accuracy is required for Coating of roll stock material for the manufacturing of pharmaceutical and medical products, e.g. oral films, transdermal systems or wound dressings, starting from the roll stock material up to the finished product.
In order to meet different specific product requirements RCA Bignami combine our expertise with the experience of our partners to define the best suitable high-precision coating system.
Coating for Medical and Pharma
To precisely apply the active ingredient containing polymer matrix onto a substrate there are different coating processes available.
Proven coating systems provide the flexibility needed. Depending on the viscosity and thickness and dosage of the final product the best suitable coating and drying system can be chosen.
After drying and potentially lamination of a backing material the material can be processed on one of our converting machines.
For the quality of the coating following aspects are to be considered:
- Selection of right coating application depending on your product, the viscosity and needed thickness: coating knife, comma bar, or slot die
- Selection of suitable drying process: heating plates or recirculation air
- Modular one-zone or multiple-zone drying for highest quality
- GMP and GAMP 5 standard
